We’re working hard on improving the usability of our whitelabel fundraising platform. This month, we’ve added new KIDD functionality, improvements to filters, Q&A reminders and the option to customise the email content for platform registration emails, among other things.
Company documents – KIDD
We’ve added specific categories for the KIDD (Levels 2 and 3). Levels may be selected in the data room, Companies/Documents. We aim to help clarify what has and has not been signed-off from a regulatory perspective by the platform operator.
Any document assigned the category ‘KIDD Basic Disclosures’ or ‘KIDD Full Disclosures’ will come up with the caption: ‘These documents have been reviewed by an FCA regulated entity.’
All other company documents will be displayed with the following caption:
‘These documents have been provided by the company who are raising funds and have not been reviewed by an FCA regulated entity.’
Auto reminder for unanswered questions
When a question is posted, a reminder to answer it is sent after 3 business days to any platform admin who receives notifications of new questions.
Custom email content
We have added the facility to customise the email content for platform registration emails (new investor, company or advisor). You can view/add/edit custom content via the Platform Profile / Emails tab (Customise Content).
Approving requests for access to company documents
In order to improve usability, requests for access to company documents have been moved to the ‘Approvals’ menu item on the admin panel.
A single list of deals
Rather than the old ‘More deals’ and ‘All deals’ buttons, there is a single ‘Load more’ button beneath the deals displayed on your platform. You are still able to choose which deals are shown on the home page (‘Featured deals’) and clicking the ‘Load more’ button will load batches of your other deals in the following default order:
- Featured deals – selected by platform admins and displayed on the home page
- Your own hosted deals and any shared from other platforms
- Other network deals if the ‘Show Envestry Network’ switch has been activated in your platform profile.
Users can use the filter tool to specify which deals they want to see rather than scroll through them all.
Custom favicon
You can now upload a custom favicon to the platform. You’ll need to use a ‘.ico’ file and Chrome or Firefox users will see the change straightaway. Due to limitations of the Safari browser users will not see changes to the favicon immediately as favicons are cached for up to several days.
Google reCAPTCHA
Google reCAPTHA protection has been added to the investor, company and advisor registration forms. This prevents bots from spamming the form.
Note: this does not prevent manual spam information entered by real people.
These features are just some that have been added as a result of feedback from our partners through the Envestry Support Portal. If you have thoughts on how we can improve our platform, please go to the portal and create a post or vote for existing requests.
