Membership criteria
Because investment in new business carries high risks as well as the possibility of high rewards, Envestors Private Investor Club can only accept members who fall into one of the following classes of certified investors as defined by the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 ("FSMA"):

Sophisticated Investor: An individual who has been certified by a third party authorised by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) as being sufficiently knowledgeable to understand the risks associated with investing in unquoted companies, or, |

b. |
High Net Worth Individual: An individual with either (a) an income not less than £100,000 per year or (b) net assets to the value of £250,000 throughout the financial year preceding the date the certificate is signed , or, |
|
c. |
Investment Professional: An individual or firm authorised by the FSA or a person to whom, under the FSMA 2000, the general prohibition does not apply. |
